Malcom O'Kane - Andalucia - June 16 - from UK

Hi Danielle,

I've been rather remiss in not getting some feedback to you following our train tour of Andalusia in June.

What a great trip - my wife, brother, sister-in-law and me had a brilliant time. All the train journeys were easy (even the one from Granada to Seville which was part by bus due to engineering works for the new AVE route). Hotel Casa de la Morisca in Granada was great as a starter - just what we wanted: small, quiet and traditional. Loved Granada.

The city walking tour and or guide around The Alhambra were excellent.

It's in the diary to get back to Granada for a long weekend - easy from London City airport now!

Hotel Hospederia El Churrasco in Córdoba was also excellent and a great location - just a 5 minute stroll from The Mezquita. Such a lovely welcome (including a complimentary glass of local wine!) - again, small, quiet and traditional. We tried the associated restaurant down the street one evening which was terrific. Also the proprietor of the hotel recommended a tapas bar nearby (called No.10) which was probably the best we had all trip - we also ate there the next night on the roof terrace. Brilliant. Glad we stopped off in Ronda for one night.

At Hotel Montelino, our rooms overlooked the Gorge and the view to the distant hills was superb. Full marks on that one! We had an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant, on the terrace with a great view and the sun going down.

A couple of days at the end of the trip by the sea in Malaga was a great way to finish off. Hotel Molina Lario is bigger and more modern than the others we stayed in but none the worse for that. And, again, great location. Can recommend Los Gatos as a 'spanish' bar/restaurant in the centre. Frequented mainly by locals - great atmosphere (especially on a Saturday night!) and huge portions!

I've left Seville until last - we enjoyed going back again (after about 30 years!). The city walking tour was really good (Alfonso - 'call me Pepe') led a lively tour full of humour and anecdotes. First class. We then used the same company to do a Cathedral tour and an Alcazar tour. The only slight negative for us was the Hotel Las Casas de la Juderia. What a bizarre place! A rabbit warren of interconnected 'houses' it seemed to take ages to find one's way around. The small reception always seemed to be busy (not necessarily a problem usually) but it was offputting when Reception staff seemed always to be distracted talking to a colleague while dealing with our query/request - didn't feel they were always giving full attention to the customer. Probably the least 'friendly' of all the hotels we stayed at. Not a great issue but I think the holiday loses a quarter point in my own 'scoring system' as a result (LOL). Otherwise 4.75 stars out of 5!

Great holiday!! Thanks for everything. Highly recommended.

John Goff - Andalucia and Tangier - June 16 - from UK

Hi Danielle,

Just wanted to express my thanks again for everything – it was a fabulous trip to Portugal, and we all enjoyed it immensely. Driving around ourselves really made it feel much more like an adventure than a tour, and I was quite proud of myself that I brought the car back with the same amount of paint on it as when I started! All the hotels were amazing and perfectly situated for walking to everything. The tour guides you arranged for us were friendly and engaging. And I discovered a new love for sherry!

Cheers , John

Kieran Corcoran - Spain - May 16 - from Ireland

Earlier this summer on May 23 rd my wife and I embarked on what I can only call a two week odyssey of Madrid and Andalusia.

I have been fortunate enough to have been to Spain many times but hankered after a proper joined up trip of these regions, a trip travelling by train, staying in centrally located hotels , enjoying walking tours with enthusiastic guides and of course eating the local specialities and drinking the stunning Spanish wines.

Enter Lemon Valley Tours, after a very enjoyable process of consultation  with Danielle we hit on what I hoped was the perfect itinerary for a great holiday.

We travelled to Madrid on the high speed Ave train from Malaga and spent four nights in the wonderfully located hotel los Morenas, Included in this leg of the journey was a day trip and privately guided tour of Toledo, the fact that preparations were in full flight for the annual Corpus Christi procession added to the wonder and drama of this historic city.

Madrid itself was wonderful, easy to navigate with a lovely easy vibe not often associated with capital cities.

Onto to Córdoba for two nights,a fantastic tour of the Moorish Mezquita and a great explanation from a super guide as to how the amazing Mezquita and a Christian cathedral came be co located on the same campus is a memory that will stay with me for a long time, as will the carriage ride around the old city touring the festival of the patios , admiring the courtyards of the lovely dwellings which were a riot of colour and form, then across the bridge to the acres of tented villages home to the amazing Feria (fair) full of beautifully coiffured women in extravagant flamenco style dresses, men dressed in traditional horse outfits and apparel and OH the horses themselves magnificent in their splendidly polished tack and accessories.

Truly amazing.

On to Granada for two nights stayed in a beautifully restored Moriscan town house in the Albacin, visited the stunning Alhambra and Gardens ate at the best table in the restaurant Estrella ( booked in advance by Nicola) looking across the valley as the natural light faded on the Alhambra structure and watched as it became beautifully illuminated by sympathetically placed artificial lighting. Stunning.

Onto Seville for three nights stayed in a wonderfully located hotel so close to the cathedral that I could actually see the bell tower as clear as if I was standing inside and every fifteen minutes the bells rang out in all their splendour. Wonderful. If as the saying goes you tire of Seville you are tired of life.

Next up Herez De la Frontera, here one gets the impression of a great atmospheric small city whose history and culture is all about the horses and the sherry.

Amazing equinine academy and bodegas on every corner. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Parts of the city looked as if they had been shot on location from sets of the High Chaparral!

Finally back to the magnificent city of Malaga for one night and over a great dinner tried to appreciate all we had seen and experienced over the previous two weeks. We had at this stage serious sensory overload! All this trip was pulled together seamlessly and professionaly by Lemon Valley tours, they were at once everywhere and nowhere their experienced imprint all over every detail of this holiday, but still leaving you feeling like a worthy independent traveller.

Take a bow girls, best holiday ever.

Thank you.

Kieran and Carol. Ireland.

Deborah Rose - Andalucia - June 16 - from UK

To Danielle and Nicola,

Just to say thank you for all the arrangements for our holiday in Andalucia. We loved all the hotels with their different characters and the walks in Granada and Seville were very interesting and fun as well. The view from the hotel room in Ronda was amazing. It was very helpful having the Alhambra tickets and the horse school tickets in Jerez all arranged beforehand.

The useful folders of information and maps were invaluable but it would have been even better to have been able to look through them before we left home. Our most used piece of information was to try the tinto de verano and we ended up having that everywhere. It reslly is the best drink on a hot day.

Thanks once again, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Barbara Stevenson - Andalucia - May 16 - from UK

Dear Danielle ,

You arranged a tour of Andalucia in May for my sister and me and our husbands.

Thank you for doing such a splendid job. We enjoyed our holiday, thanks to you.

The hotels were interesting historic structures, but offered modern amenities we appreciated (along with staff that could speak English, which was really helpful).

My favorite was the Moorish palace in Granada with views of the Alhambra. Everything was organized perfectly, the train tickets, the hotel arrangements, etc. It was the best holiday ever.

Thanks

Barbara

Ian and Christine Mccallum - Spain - May 16 from UK

Hi Danielle,

We have returned from our 2 week holiday in Spain and would like to thank you and Lemon Valley holidays for organising an amazing tour of Southern Spain.

The choice of hotels was very much appreciated as their location was spot on and they were all nicely different from regular tourist hotels.

We especially liked the hotel in Sevilla as we were given an upgrade to a junior suite because we were with Lemon Valley.

The suite was lovely and spacious and the public rooms and courtyards were perfect places to relax in after a busy day of sightseeing.

The walking tours of Granada and Sevilla were excellent in terms of content and quality of guides and were just the right length of time. The balance between official tours and free time was perfect.

All train journeys went well even with some delay due to the upgrading of the line between Granada and Sevilla.

Many thanks for all your help and we look forward to taking another tour with Lemon Valleys. Kind Regards Christine and Ian

Everything was expertly and efficiently arranged to ensure that the holiday went smoothly throughout our 7 destinations during the holiday.

Tours were set up with excellent guides and the accompanying documents and general information to help us through the holiday made it such an easy experience to enjoy and area that we didn't know.

Assistance on public transport for my wife who uses a wheelchair was also arranged in advance which made the travel experience trouble free.

Kind Regards

Christine and Ian

Lawrence Waterson - Andalucia - May 16 - from UK

Hello Danielle ,

I thought i must write to commend you for organising this trip for us. As soon as we arrived at the Casa Morisca in Granada, we were given all the documentation that we needed, along with helpful information.

Everything planned out as we had hoped, with no problems anywhere. Because of this we had a great holiday, even with the worst rain in 100 years at Sevilla!

The guided tour around the centre of Sevilla was nearly abandoned because of it.

We saw some great places, so thanks for that. The only problem was the flight back which was delayed due to the annual french air traffic controllers strike.

Thanks again,

L Waterson

Amanda Fitz - Portugal & Spain- April 16 - from UK

Hi Danielle ,

Just to say we all had a great time in Porto. The weather was kind and we seemed to be indoors when the thunder was doing its worst. Both tours were excellent. Karen from Official Tours walked us around the city and was very sweet and informative

Burmester tour hosted by Bruno was also very good, very different to the Sandeman tour we had done under our own steam the day before. Nuno from Cooltours was outstanding and we were blessed with sunshine the whole day.

So once again you have come up trumps for us and we are both looking forward now to Spain later in the year.

Many thanks

Cheers

Amanda

Jeannette Seaman - Andalucia- March 16 - from UK

Dear Danielle ,

We wanted to thank you all at Lemon Valley for a great trip. Most of our holidays over recent years have been specialist, group bird watching holidays where its a case of pretty much "follow the leader" and the degree of organisation which you had set up almost made this just as easy. We found that all the arrangements - travel, hotels, booked activities went like clockwork. We were very smug standing in line for the Nasrid Palace at the Alhambra at our correct time watching others arrive and try to barge in with no idea that their ticket allocated them a specific time to go in.

We were very impressed with all the bus and train travel - it was efficient, clean and on time. It was great to experience the high speed train (300 kph was our fastest time) and the buses which wandered into small villages collecting locals from their lunch time tipple (and waiting while one went back for the brolly he'd forgotten).

All of the hotels were lovely. We were also very happy with and impressed that you'd got us front row seats at the Jerez equestrian show - brilliant!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were very impressed with how it all came together. All in all it was a wonderful holiday. Will be recommending you to anyone interested.

Thanks again.

Jeanette

David Schif - Tour of Portugal - October 2015 - USA

Dear Nicola

We wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful trip. The hotels were all unique- we especially enjoyed the ones in Lisbon and Evora which had inviting public spaces where we spent time in the evening relaxing, reading and snacking. And the staffs in both were particularly friendly and helpful. Both of our guided tour guides were excellent... Nunu in Lisbon and Marta in Porto. and the travel arrangements all worked fine.

Thanks for your help.

Alex Morrison - Tour of Andalucía - September 2015 - UK

Hi Danielle,

Just wanted to tell you what a fantastic holiday we had, thank you so much for organising a memorable trip. All the hotels were great, particularly the San Gabriel in Ronda, closely followed by the Casa Del Capitel Nazari in Granada. We really appreciated that you were able to change our bus time in Ronda, very quick and efficient, thank you. The Flamenco show was great, and the Alhambra and Mezquita simply stunning.

We will have no hesitation in recommending your services to our friends.

Thank you once again,

Best wishes,

Gail Allyn - Tour of Andalucía & Madrid - September 2015 - USA

Hi, Danielle

We are back from our two week trip to Andalusia, and I wanted to thank you for all of your work in putting it together for us. The whole trip went smoothly. Your packet with the itinerary, hotel information, tickets and vouchers was complete and well-organized. We really liked the small spiral bound book with travel tips, history, sight-seeing and restaurant information organized for each city that we visited. We found that it was better than the guidebooks that we had brought with us. We enjoyed all of the hotels that you recommended, with their historical character and terrific locations in the heart of the old cities. Also, all of our guides were excellent — very knowledgeable, personable and easy to understand.

Thanks again! We certainly will recommend your services to our friends.

Andrew Freeman - Tour of Barcelona & Valencia - August 2015 - USA

Hey Nicola

We can’t thank you enough for all you did to make our trip to Spain so amazing. The hotels all were great --- and your flexibility with the day change in Barcelona was much appreciated.

We love Spain and we love you. Though the trip got off to a rocky start –everything else was smooth and wonderful. The hotel in Valencia was awesome and we did love our hotel in Peniscola as well.

Our tour guides in both cities were incredible – and the timing was perfect.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I will also be writing a newsletter about our journey and will be sure to site you in that as well.

Russel Weed - Tour of Andalucía - August 2015 - USA

Hi Danielle

We are back and settled in from 7 weeks on our Spain trip. There were many highlights but the tour of Andalucía you organized for us was at the top. Thank you everything was perfect including the train’s buses, and the hotels which were well positioned in the historic districts. The guides for the walking tours in Seville and Granada were fantastic as was the flamenco show in Seville. Dinner at La Estrella de San Nicolas as the sunset on the Alhambra created great expectations for our tour the next day. You created a wonderful experience to Andalucía for us, thank you.

We are finally home from our wonderful tour of Portugal, I just wanted to send you a quick email to show our appreciation for all of the organising and planning you did on our behalf.

The four of us through enjoyed the guided tours of Lisbon and Porto, Karen in Porto especially really stands out for us, as does the great wines we tasted! The hotels were lovely, well positioned and just what we were looking for. The maps, driving directions and GPS you provided made driving through the country a breeze!

I can’t wait to use your services again and we will not hesitate to recommend your company.

Thanks again

Dear Nicola

Im writing to you to extend our sincerest thank you for your professional and very organized Spain Vacation tour. It all started with the brilliant package that you left for us at our arrival in Bercelona. Every step of the way, every suggested excursion or booked program was great. Your suggested choice of hotels, especially the boutique hotels in all the old quarters, simply divine. It will be a holiday we'll cherish forever because it was really hassle free due to your organization. We will surely recommend you to all our friends. Thank you again. We look forward to any other packages you may.

Kind regards,

Linda Caller - Tour of Andalucía - June 2015 - UK

Dear Danielle

I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our week in Andalusia and how impressed we are with Lemon Valley Holidays. You thought of everything so that we didn't have to! The walking tours were excellent and the flamenco show outstanding. You provided lots of information in the very comprehensive package waiting for us at our first hotel and all the arrangements worked perfectly. It's a great way to travel, giving us independence without having to spend hours researching and buying tickets for travel and entrance to various places. It was a great tip knowing we could pick up our Alhambra tickets at the shop in the centre of town.

We hope to travel with you again some time

Best wishes

Dear Nicola,

I arrived home yesterday after a wonderful time in Morocco thanks to your splendid organisation. I have to say that Mustapha, my driver/friend was a truly kind and helpful person and he made my trip easy and relaxed. I can't praise him too much and will have pleasure in recommending him to anyone who wishes to travel in Morocco. Next year I may be on the move again and when I know my dates i will contact you re travel in Portugal.

Meanwhile thankyou again.

Joanne Lawler - Tour of Andalucia - May 2015 - Australia

Hi Danielle

Just a short note to say many thanks for your organisation of our Andulusian experience. Everything worked smoothly. The accommodations were very comfortable and best of all, memorable! We enjoyed each premises for it's great location, and warm, accommodating staff. My favourite was probably the Hotel Alminar, Seville, although the venues at Rhonda, Granada and Córdoba each, had some magic!! Between accommodations our train/bus connections worked nicely, and gave us adequate time to settle in and explore the town. During the visit to the various locations we enjoyed reading your enclosed notes regarding the local history and recommendations for sights and dining.

So, all in all we had a great time.

Many thanks again

Jo

Moya Cozens - Tour of Andalucia - March 2015 - USA

Dear Nicola

We had a great holiday thank you. All the trains worked really well and we were very impressed with the efficiency and comfort of them. The hotels were all excellent, staff very helpful in recommending restaurants etc. and all were located centrally.

The walking tours were also successful and both guides very informative, it was really useful to be able to identify areas that we went onto to look at in more detail.

In Córdoba we were lucky to be very close to the Easter procession route and it was an a truly amazing spectacle, it also meant that sitting in the sunshine, eating tapas and drinking wine there was a constant flow of people so it was great for 'people watching'!

An excellent holiday, thank you.

Dear Nicola,

Just to let you know that we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Spain last week. Thank you for all your information on the places we visited and your choice of hotels which were very interesting and added to the holiday experience. I loved the hotel in Seville and hope to stay again one day (many thanks for re-arranging our walking tour).

We will certainly be recommending Lemon Valley Holidays to our friends.

Kind regards

Clare James.

Robert Kronley - Tour of Andalucía - October 2014 - USA

Dear Danielle

We had a very good trip, and saw and did a considerable amount in a relatively short period of time. We greatly appreciated your advice and recommendations, which we often relied upon. The guides – for the Alhambra and in Seville – were professional, knowledgeable, and engaging; we were quite happy with them.

We did not eat adventurously, relying on Michelin and other guidebooks, but ate casually (tapas places and in tabernas) for the most part, which is what we planned to do, and enjoyed it. The hotels in Cordoba and Seville were good – well-appointed rooms and lovely public spaces -- and met our expectations, especially given the short notice that we provided.

We were delighted with our experience, and thank you and your colleagues for facilitating it professionally, thoughtfully and quickly. We should be delighted to recommend Lemon Valley.

Best Regards

Robert

Sara Davis - Tour of Andalucía - October 2014 - UK

Hi Danielle

We all really loved it and want to thank you for going out of your way to accommodate our requests. We will definitely revisit the area in years to come. The hotels were individual, unique and quite superb, but the jewel for us was most definitely the one in Grenada at the foot of the Alhambra Palace.

Both the buses and trains were clean, comfortable and on time, they run like clockwork and were easy for us to use and no problems with the tickets or getting to where we needed to be and the taxis were readily available, the drivers really polite and helpful.

Mum enjoyed speaking Spanish at every opportunity and loved the fact when in Malaga, where she used to live, there was a small fan shop which still sold fans 50 years ago when she was there. The Flamenco in Seville was out of this world and all the better for being as authentic as we could have wished for.

Mum has said it was her holiday of a lifetime, non stress, but lovely to go to so many places on one holiday and she will remember it for the rest of her life. My brother said it was the best holiday for him ever and I was totally and utterly blown away by the places, the people, the architecture, the food, the weather and just what a lovely part of Spain Andalucia is.

Thank you and your family once again for arranging such a lovely and fitting holiday for my mums 80th birthday, one we will always remember with very very fond memories.

With Best Wishes

Santos Charallah - Tour of Andalucia - October 2014 - Spain

Hello Danielle

Firstly, both Cathy and me must thank you for arranging a wonderful holiday for us. It was a magnificent experience, which totally lived up to our expectations. Although, we have known Spain for many decades and now live in Ibiza, we haven't explored Andalucia at all and the itinerary you offered fitted precisely what we wanted to do.

All the arrangements you made for us worked like clockwork. Your comprehensive pack left at our first hotel in Granada was excellent and gave us all the information we needed. The train arrangements were faultless, even when we encountered a cancelled service from Granada to Seville (following a flooding the night before); when we arrived at the station, there were coaches ready to takes us to Antequera, where we boarded our train and arrived in Seville with only 15 minutes delay on the scheduled time, so in fact this was an interesting experience! The hotel locations were perfect, they were all very good.

So, once again, thank you very much for our wonderful experience of Andalucia and we will most definitely recommend your service to our friends.

Regards

Santos & Cathy Charallah

Just wanted to drop you a line to say how much we enjoyed our trip. It was fantastic to be able to simply go to the train station - tickets in hand - taxi to the hotel - all booked - and the enjoy. It enabled us to be have the freedom of a well organised tour but without the restrictions of a group tour. Well done and everything was well thought out

Best Regards

Karen & Peter Bennet - Tour of Andalucia - September 2014 - New Zealand -

Sorry I have taken so long to write to you after arriving home early October from our Fab trip away! One of the aims of this trip was to not do too much in Europe as it was Pete's first trip to the northern hemisphere. I wanted it to be a blast so I would hook him in to spend many more trips away together!!! Well....he is absolutely sold and part of that was thanks so much to you. The attention to detail, the fantastic hotels we stayed in, the detail in the wee book and our folder to help us through the experience. We chose to not do the walk about tours in each place so we had some time to sleeping, orientate ourselves around our surroundings and this was brilliant for us. We were really exhausted by the time we hit London! We were stoked we had added in Ronda as this was truly one of the highlights.

We will definitely be recommending Lemon Valley Holidays to whoever we can find! So thank you for making our Spanish experience so memorable. There was nothing we felt could be improved upon.

Best Regards Karen & Peter Bennett

Dr Hernan Reyes MD party - Tour of Andalucia- October 2014 -

Dear Nicola, I would like to thank you on behalf of myself, my wife and my fellow travelers who had a wonderful Andalusia tour. Everything in your brochure was followed in detail and we are extremely delighted that we chose your company for this trip. What we saw, visited and experienced in the various cities we toured most specially Granada is something memorable and will last for a lifetime. Family and friends have already inquired about our trip and I am sure a number of them will be getting in touch with you in the future.

Your reputation for being precise and truthful about this tour is admirable and we can't thank you enough. Everything was great, but let me give you a few experiences that we thought surpassed all expectations.

To start with, all the drivers of the van from the time we landed in Malaga, and our travel to the various cities visited and back to Malaga airport were very professional, dignified, helpful, courteous and nice to be with. The driver was absolutely helpful and worked tirelessly to get things taken cared off and get us back on our way for our travel. Simply deserves our deep gratitude. The van was very comfortable and spacious; definitely a plus.

The Paradors were as you described: Great accommodation, good service and very professional. We specially liked the Parador in Granada - the history associated with it, but more importantly, the spacious and great rooms as well as the service. We lounged after our arrival in their outdoor patio overlooking the Alhambra and this was grandeur at its best specially after such a long air travel from the U.S. To those arriving from afar, simply lounging on arrival is most likely the only thing one can do. I doubt if any of us would have wanted to wander in town at that time. Dining at their restaurant was very special. I consider it the best restaurant we dined in during our entire trip. Each of us ordered a different entree and considered what we had as excellent. I had roasted pig and I can assure you, that personally, this was better than the roasted suckling pig we had at Botin in Madrid more than a week later. I tasted the fish that one of our co-travelers ordered and the squid that my wife ordered, and they were simply delicious. The service made our dining experience even better. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The 2nd Parador that I personally liked was that in Arcos de la Frontera. The best tapas was in some of the outdoor bar/restaurants near the Parador. Hotel Montelirio in Ronda was OK, but probably the Pardor in Ronda may have had better accommodations. I only say this, because they had limited number of rooms and the room assigned to one couple in our group who had health issues had a bedroom located at an upper level climbing through several steps, while the living room and bathroom were downstairs. Management was unable to change the room. The best private tour guide was Ms Mercedes Perez with the Sevilla Walking Tour who was delightful to be with, knowledgeable, helpful and directed us to a place for tapas for lunch and arranged a horse carriage tour. Also gave us the best information we can possibly obtain regarding the Alcazar, Cathedral and the city in general. The Flamenco performance you arranged at the Casa de la Memoria in Seville was beautiful and definitely a must to see. The 2nd best tour guide was Jesus in Ronda - great to be with. Overall, all the cities we visited had it's own unique and distinctive historical, cultural and architectural characteristics that one has to see to truly enjoy a great experience. If able to, my wife and I would certainly want to revisit, specially Granada where you can spend the whole day simply walking the entire Alhambra.

Bryan and Claire Timmons- Tour of Andalucia - September 2014- Australia

Hi Nicola

We are now back in Australia after our long trip back to the UK and Europe, including our Lemon Valley tour of Andalucia from 15th to 25th September.
We had a really wonderful tour of historic Andalucia, and would like to record our appreciation of your excellent service in planning our trip.
Please feel free to use this as a testimonial; we would like to post something on Tripadvisor, but I am unable to find a Lemon Valley link other than an out of date one.

We had a truly wonderful holiday in Andalucia following the path laid out for us by Nicola at Lemon Valley Holidays; it was truly the experience of a lifetime.

We felt Nicola's guiding hand and spirit wherever we went, as we simply followed her detailed itineraries, plans and indispensably helpful notes; time after time we followed Nicola's notes and advice and rejoiced in the saving in time and effort in finding the best of attractions, museums, hotels, and restaurants. As examples, we would never have found El Riconcillo tapas bar in Seville, or El Pimpi in Malaga, but these turned out to be absolutely THE best places to go in town. And we would never have enjoyed the Hamam Al Andalus Arab baths in Granada on the first evening of our holiday had Nicola not encouragingly suggested it in her notes – but what a wonderfully relaxing way to get us in the holiday mood! And the recommendation ( and pre-booked reservation) to watch flamenco at the Casa de La Memoria in Seville was an amazing authentic experience. Thank-you Nicola; we will look to book our next holiday in Andalucia with you as we are keen to try walking in the Alpujarras and in the Serrania de Ronda…

The hotels were lovely and each one special and full of character, and placed in the absolute ideal locations from which to explore the historic delights of Granada, Cordoba, Seville, and Ronda. We were delighted with our rooms, and generally with the value for money that your tour price provided; we don't know how you managed it for the price.

With Kindest Regards
Bryan and Claire Timmons

Kath Smith- Tour of Spain - September 2014 - UK

Dear Nicola,

I’m sorry it’s taken a while to contact you but I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our week in Spain.

Everything was really well-organised and we loved each of the hotels.  We only wish we could have had a little longer in Seville (but we will definitely go back there when we get the chance).   I intend doing a very complimentary review of your company on Trip Advisor as soon as I get my password sorted out.

We are also keen on your Morocco itinerary, so I don’t think you’ve heard the last from us…

Very best wishes,

Kath

Abby Merritt- Tour of Andalucia - June 2014 -UK

I was Abby Merrett (my married name is Attrill). You recently arranged my honeymoon in Andalucia  (Ronda, Granada, Seville & Cordoba).

I just wanted to say a big thank you. It was perfect. Your superb organisation meant we got to do all that we wanted and withconfidence that everything was booked and in order.

The hotels you chose for us were superb too.

Thank you so much

Abby

Sara Graham - Tour of Andalucia - May 2014- Australia

Dear Nicola,

I have been meaning to write to you ever since we returned from Andalucia.

I greatly enjoyed the holiday.  The arrangements you had made and the advice and materials you provided were excellent.  The hotels, which were in terrific locations,  were very satisfactory with helpful and friendly staff. The city guides too were excellent.  Transport was smooth and easy and presented no problems whatsoever. The concept of  assisted but not group or escorted travel is, I think, a good one or at least it seemed to suit me.

Julie Friedlander - Tour of Andalucia - May 2014 - UK

Daphne Passmore - Tour of Andalucia - May 2014- Ireland

I took this tour with Lemon Valley Holidays in June 2009 and simply had to come back and do it all again!
The Boutique Hotels chosen by Nicola are excellent, both for their amenities and locations. I love having all the bookings made for us, the hotels, the trains, the flamenco, the Alhambra, the guided tours and yet at the same time being independent.
I would suggest to travelers not to under-estimate Malaga, there is a great deal to see and do in that city, it's not just the airport for the Costa del Sol!
Thank you Nicola for making the trip so memorable once again.

Many, many thanks for all your good work in making our trip so successful,

Mike Sedman - Tour of Moorish Andalucia - May 2014 - UK

Dear Nicola,

Jean and I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful holiday you provided for us.

We had more than enough information, lovely and well positioned hotels, excellent guided tours and those little extras such as an authentic Flamenco show, which helped make our holiday so enjoyable. We followed many of your recommendations for eating out with great success.

Please let us know of any other tours you might offer in the future.

Thanks once again for such a memorable holiday.

Claire Senior - Train Tour of Moorish Andalucia - May 2014 - UK

Dear Nicola

We arrived back from our tour of Andalucia yesterday evening tired but extremely happy.  I want to say thank you so much for the organisation and for all the things to do.  The Flamenco in Seville was astounding, very very intense and fascinating and we followed it a day later by catching an impromptu exhibition by a group of local ladies when we visited Plaza de Espana in the early evening. Alphonso took the tour in Seville as the group was too large so Conception split it , which we really appreciated .  His knowledge was excellent as was his ability to judge the balance between historical content and interesting anecdote.

We were also pleased to have caught the patio festival in Cordoba and saw some really brilliant places.  The map also took us to the Flamenco museum which was well worth a visit.

The hotels were all good and with the exception of the one in Malaga, all very interesting in different ways; Granada was my favourite I think.

Finally our driver from Ronda down to Malaga was great, a gentle ride and extremely comfortable.

Thank you once again for such great organisation.

Keith Thatcher- Tour of Andalucia - April 2014 - UK

Dear Nicola; We feel that we must write to thank you for what has been an outstanding holiday.  Everything went so smoothly from the original  bus journey to Granada to our last hotel in Malaga. All the hotels were a delight.Very interesting historically with friendly staff and beautifully situated. In every city the hotel was within easy walking distance of all points of interest The trains were so easy and efficient ,very comfortable and dead on time

Both the Christies and ourselves would like to pay tribute to the efficiency and helpfulness of your company .You couldn't have made it any easier for us. You even provided perfect weather with constant sunshine throughout.

We arrived at the Mezquita at about 2pm and walked straight in with no queue whereas we were very grateful for the prebooked tickets for the Alhambra where the queue went on for ever! Thank you once again Nicola.

Hi Nicola. I'm home at long last after my wonderful adventure.
Nicola,I don't know how to thank you enough for what you did for me.My time in Andalucia and Morocco was probably the highlights of my life. All of your organisation in terms of accommodation, travel arrangements and information was absolutely impeccable and made my time there so much more enjoyable. In Morocco the driver/guide,Mustapha was superb and I couldn't have asked for someone better. He was superb and we got on extremely well.

When I get my head  above water I intend to get onto Trip Adviser and write  an absolutely glowing review about you at Lemon Valley.

I feel so indebted to you.

My fondest regards, best wishes and sincerest thanks

Margaret Lamb - Tour of Andalucia - February 2013 - UK

Dear Anthony. Thank you for organizing such a good tour - we had a great time and learned a lot, especially from the people conducting the walking tours in both Granada and Seville who made their tours very lively and informative.

We really appreciated all the preparatory information in the booklet you supplied  and the timing of the rail journeys which meant we could check in to our next hotel as soon as we arrived in a new city, rather than having to wait hours for our rooms to be ready.

Ryan Pratt - Tour of Andalucia & Morocco - June 2013 - USA

Nicola,

I wanted to thank you very much for setting up my Andalucia-Morocco trip, it was truly amazing and everything went through seamlessly! If i can do you the favor of writing a review on any site such as trip advisor or any other travel site i would love to do that for you. Secondly i wanted to give a honorable mention and my greatest thanks to Mustafa, my driver in Morocco. He was a great driver, host, friend and i couldn't of been any happier. I give my highest recommendations to Mustafa and if i am to return to Morocco i would pray that Mustafa were my driver again, sincerely my highest regards to that man. On another note also, the guide for the city of Fez, Abdella was also a great host, guide and friend. Abdella treated me like a true friend and not like a tourist and i have to say my highest thanks and respects to him. After the tour and on my own on the streets of Fez i by chance crossed paths with Abdella and he treated me to some tea and beverages at a local cafe and later invited me out to dinner with his family. Abdella truly was a great guide but also gave me a fond experience i will always remember about my trip to Morocco, again my highest praise.

Pat Miller - Tour of Andalucia - May 2013 - Australia

Dear Nicola, Sean and I want to thank you for a wonderful trip to Spain. Your arrangements went like clockwork, the hotels were lovely, and all your recommendations were very helpful. I only wish that I knew of an agency like yours for all our travels. I want to comment on the Casa del Capitel Nazari and the Hospederia del Atalia. We found both charming, sparklingly clean and very accommodating, but when we were in Cordoba one of our party was seriously ill. Hospederia del Atalia really went the extra mile in service to assist us and her. I also want to thank you for kindly sending new copiess of your Granada and Cordoba travel guide to our hotel when I lost them at the Alhambra. Your recommendations were so useful that I cannot imagine how much we would have missed without them. I hated to call you on Friday evening at 5PM, but you were extraordinarily gracious and rescued me without any fuss. I will certainly recommend your firm to others. .

Gunnta & Tai Anspal - Tour of Spain - June 2013 - Australia

Going through our photos of Andalucia, I just realised that we did not give you any feedback about our trip. I would like you to know that we had a wonderful holiday, soaking in the history, architecture and scenery. All the detailed information and the maps that you supplied came in very handy-although we still managed to get lost on a couple of occasions despite having the satnav!! But I suppose that is part of the fun of holidays in a foreign country and you get to see more anyway. The hotels were excellent especially the traditional style ones at Cordoba and Granada and well located so that most of the attractions were in easy walking distance. All the walking tours were very good and made the most of our limited time. By driving we were able to stop at Ronda and Carmona which were very enjoyable. We also had a very enjoyable time in Barcelona where we used the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus to get around to see all the attractions. Thank you for all your assistance. With best wishes, Gunta and Tai

Carol Griffin - Tour of Madrid & Andalucia - June 2013 - Australia

I cannot remember if I emailed you after my holiday. Thank you-it was a lovely holiday and exactly what I hoped for in Granada, Seville Cordoba and Madrid. Well organised and worked like clockwork. I Loved Andalusia and Madrid and will come back I will recommend your services to anyone coming to Andalusia and Madrid.

Linda Wilkinson - Tour of Spain & Morocco - June 2013 - New Zealand

Back in NZ after a great 6 weeks away. Just wanted to say thank you again for a really fabulous tour and give what I hope is some constructive feedback. Mustafa is such a lovely genuine man. He looked after us wonderfully in Morocco and We found him to be very caring and helpful. I certainly found this style of travel took all the stress away from us. Mustafa was a little reluctant to see us explore on our own but having travelled throughout Asia we finally persuaded him to let us loose in Chefchouen with assurances we were actually quite street savvy. The accommodation on our tour of both countries was a huge highlight in itself. We were blown away by the standard and by the uniqueness of each place we stayed. Villa Mandarine was a highlight in Morocco but we found each place we stayed was equally charming albeit in a different way. We also particularly loved our accommodation in Ronda, Granada and Cordoba. The walking tours we went on were great and helped orientate us and were definitely worth doing. The Tapas tour in Barcelona was good too but the guide was disappointing. Nobody could hear what she was saying. The people on it with us however turned it into a great night. Your tip about getting a taxi from each train station in Spain was excellent.. It took all the stress away. The information we received in the pack for Spain was comprehensive and informative.Everything went like clockwork .

Bob Best - Tour of Andalucia - September 2013 - USA

As our stay in Andalucía is coming to an end I want to thank you for arranging a wonderful week for Letty and me. Letty and I have both worked in the travel and event management fields and we are both impressed with your service. I would be happy to write a testimonial if you have a link either to Trip Advisor or Facebook. Believe me I have nothing but praise for the itinerary we are completing or the arrangements you made. Just in the interest of our opinion, the three cities of Granada, Seville, and Cordoba are similar in many ways. Malaga is definitely different. For those who might be looking for a compressed experience we believe Cordoba could be eliminated (understanding full well that is a matter of personal taste). As for the hotels, all four of them are PERFECTLY located and pleasant with courteous staff. Of the four the Hotel Alminar was our least favorite, mostly because of the poor breakfast quality. However, we would have no problem staying at any of them again. Feel free to use us as references and thank you for your great work.

Diana Frost - Tour of Moorish Andalucia - September 2013 - USA

Apologies for the delay in writing to you but since I came back from Seville and Jerez, life has been very busy. I wanted to write and thank you for the bookings you made for my recent holiday. I had a brilliant time, which bearing in mind I was travelling by myself, is testimony to the calibre of arrangements you made. The less commercial Flamenco at Las Casa de la Memoria was exceptional and I could have gone back night after night, the tour guides were excellent, friendly and informative and every detail of the arrangements went very well. The hotel you chose in Jerez was very central and in eating at a local recommended restaurant on the Saturday night, someone I worked with at Marks & Spencer 25 years ago sat down next to me with his wife. We had a great time reminiscing about the old days! The train journeys meant you could see rural life as well as the cities and I loved the mixture of places and events. Thank you very much for your contribution to making this a holiday I shall remember for a very long time.

Linda Denerley - Train Tour of Moorish Andalucia - April 2012 - UK

I just wanted to say a very big thank you to you for organising our wonderful holiday. We had a great time and everything went like clockwork. All of the hotels were delightful and the guided walks were both excellent and informative. The only downside has been coming home to the cold and wet weather in England, I see why you live in Southern Spain! Thank you once again for everything.

Bishop Jane Alexander- Tour of Andalucia - September 2013- Canada

Dear Nicola we have now had the chance to catch our breath and I wanted to write and thank you so much for all your work in arranging our holiday. It was perfect. The hotels were wonderful. All the guides were incredible and each place we visited had a great program just the right amount of organised and free time. So a job well done, our only glitch was when the GPS got a bit carried away in Arcos and we ended up wedged across an alley - all is well that ends well, the locals lifted the car and turned us around and we can laugh about it now! A special shout out to Mustafa in Morocco for being such a kind and good man, what a gem. So thanks again for all your help in arranging a trip we will never forget. JAne

Rodric Braithwaite - Tour of Andalucia - March 2012 - UK

Sue and I would like to thank you very warmly indeed for all the arrangements you made for our trip around Andalucia.

Everything worked impeccably: the hotels, the bus and train tickets, the car hire arrangements. And we got far more than we had bargained for: the tickets to the Picasso museum in Malaga, which were delivered to the hotel as we arrived; the tickets for the Alhambra; the flamenco concert in Córdoba, which was spectacularly good and not at all touristy; the walking tours in Granada and Seville, about which I had had some doubts: they turned out to be very pleasant and informative, and meant we saw a number of things we would never have seen for ourselves; the entirely unexpected appearance of the charming David Lanfear in our hotel in Grazalema, with a treasure trove of information about the local walks; and your last minute warning that our flight had been cancelled. We had the feeling that you were watching over us like a guardian angel throughout.

All the hotels were brilliantly placed within walking distance of the places we wanted to visit. Without in the least downplaying the others, our favourites were the Hotel Casa del Capitel Nazari in Grenada, which was done up in the most delightful and discreet way; the Casa Grande in Jerez, which was beautifully run and beautifully decorated; and the Peñon Grande in Grazalema, which was charmingly modest: the fact that they didn’t do breakfast there was a positive advantage, since it meant that we went out to the bar on the square, and saw a lot more of Spanish life as a result. You were slightly worried that the Peñon Grande might seem a bit too simple: but it met our taste exactly.

I would like to recommend your services as widely as possible. I will of course pass your name on to friends, and you are welcome to use as much of the above as you find useful. Is there any other outlet where I might post my views? I think Tripadvisor only does hotels, not travel agents.

Jaqui Worsley - Tour of Andalucia - October 2013 - UK

I just wanted to let you know that all went well with our holiday. We very much enjoyed exploring Andalucia and are already missing the beautiful sunshine; here in the UK it’s cold wet and windy. We particularly appreciated your helpful booklet and folder with maps etc.which really enabled us to get the most out of our time away. Particular highlights for us included: • the guided city tours of Granada and Seville [our guide in Seville, Alberro was inspirational] • eating dinner in the garden terrace restaurant you recommended in Granada, with a view of the Alhambra ~ El Huerto de Juan Ranas. A magical experience and one of our highlights • visiting the Alhambra and the beautiful gardens of the Nazaries Palace • flamenco in Seville, and visit to Museo de Bellas Artes • the Mezquita and cathedral in Cordoba • dinner at El Churrasco • Spanish trains! The welcome at both the Santa Isabel Real and the Hotel El Churrasco were superb and we loved our stay at both of these hotels ~ they were really beautiful places to stay, and in excellent locations. The staff were really helpful. We enjoyed Malaga (superb hotel!) and also our stay in Nerja. The Paradore exceeded expectations and was a fantastic place to stay. We are very glad we chose Lemon Valley holidays and hope to travel with you again. Best wishes, and thanks again for superb organisation,

Moira Carley - Tur of Andalucía - February 2012 - Canada

Our trip through Malaga-Jerez-Seville-Cordoba-Granada went off without a hitch, thanks to your excellent planning. Nick and I are grateful too for your willingness to switch days for the walking tour in Granada - it meant that we were able to enjoy our tour of the Albaicin with Anna, an excellent guide as were Conception in Seville and Carmen in Cordoba. The travel on the train and bus was well timed - appreciated the upgrade too. The hotels you selected were lovely and the staff at each one were helpful in giving directions as well. Your small guide book was also helpful when we were moving around on our own. In Malaga, after an all night flight, we were delighted to follow your directions to the place you suggested for fried fish in the middle of the day. The hotels in Seville, Cordoba and Malaga were outstanding. Please accept our sincere thanks for your contribution to our trip. Moira Carley and Nick Schnitzer.

Dear Nicola, just a short thanks for assembling & magnificently coordinating the perfect (too short - must return!) Visit to Andalusia. I would be pleased to provide for your site &/or Trip Advisor if you wish. Understand why all the hotels have such respect for you 2 & your company!

I want to thank you again for arranging such a wonderful vacation for us. It was one of our best trips ever. Every detail was perfectly planned and arranged. Every choice was fantastic. Our only complaint was having to return home!!!!

Jeanne McGowan - Tour of Spain & Morocco - July 2012 - USA

So sorry I have not written sooner. My son and I continued traveling for another week after returning to the US and just now really had a chance to sit down to write you an email. Thank you sooooo much for what you did for us. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Everything went smoothly. All we had to do was show up. I could not have asked for more. We both love loved the hotels. So quaint and friendly. I just can't say enough good about the whole experience. It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!!!! Again thank you so much.

Estelle Shields - Tour of Andalucia - June 2012 - Australia

We have arrived back in Australia and finally I have a moment to give you some feedback on our tour. You are to be congratulated on running such a tight ship: everything went according to plan and we enjoyed every bit of the tour you organized for us. The extra information about each city was really useful, as was the part about food and drink. Tinto de Verano was THE most important piece of information and we assisted the Spanish wine industry in a big way! The accommodation you chose was excellent and the train journeys were a delight……. well done Nicola. I will tell my friends and acquaintances about your service because I think it's a great way to see a country. We did our trip in three parts but we enjoyed your part the best, despite the heat!

Kent & Louise Stewart - Tour of Spain - June 2012 - Australia

I have been meaning to contact you for ages and am finally now putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) to let you know how much we appreciated the fantastic job you did organising our Andalusia holiday. We loved all the hotels - all different and all beautiful and in fantastic locations and the transfers all went smoothly too. Our walking tour guide in Seville, Concepcion, was wonderful and we ended up taking her other two tours as well. We felt like independent travellers that had spent weeks planning everything out - and you did it all! So thank you so much. We are recommending your company to all our friends.

Christine, Rod & Jessica Ryburn - Tour of Andalucia - June 2012 - Australia

We enjoyed our trip to Andalucia. It was all so easy with the excellent arrangements you made for us. The accommodation was superb, excellently located. The train system was a revelation, modern, comfortable, efficient. The information provided was excellent and the various activities very informative and enjoyable. All this helped us to make the most of a short trip to a fascinating, interesting part of the world. We loved it all. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Cleone Woods - Tour of Spain - June 2012 - Australia

Dear Nicola, Thank you very much for a beautifully organized tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves except I wish I'd had an extra day in Granada it was so lovely. That hotel was the delightful, quite my favourite and the staff were very charming and helpful. Once again, thank you and I am busy telling everyone who might want to see Andelucia that with you is the best way to do it!

Ceris Arns - Tour of Spain - June 2012 - Australia

Just a quick note to say we are in Ronda and are having a fabulous trip so far. Your choices of hotels have been perfect and Paul was just amazed with the location here in Ronda! We had to drag ourselves away from Granada as we loved every minute of it and would love more time there - next time! Also Maria who did the walking tour there was so interesting and knowledgable. That was a great historical walking tour. We look forward to the rest of our trip and send our thanks your way! Will be in touch again…………………… ………………We are just heading to the airport in Madrid now and just wanted to let you know we have had a fabulous time in Spain and especially Andalucia. Just as well we are used to the heat - temps have been impressively high but it has not stopped us at all! Thanks again for putting together such a great itinerary. We love Spain and hope to be back again soon.

Hi Nicola, I wanted to thank you for putting together the lovely trip we enjoyed in Morocco and Spain. If I already wrote to you I apologize for sending our thanks to you twice. Thank you so very much, Roger

Thank you for arranging our recent holiday for us. We had an amazing time. Everything went smoothy, we had no problems whatsoever. All the Hotels were excellent, good locations, good breakfasts and very helpful and friendly staff. The information provided in the guide books was excellent and we went to most if not all of the suggestions you made. I will contact you if we come to Southern Spain again to arrange our itinerary and will definitely recommend your service to our family and friends.

Hi Nicola, all the tour arrangements that you provided went perfectly. We absolutely love this part of Spain with the mix of history and culture provided by the different peoples that inhabited the area. The walking tours and flamenco performance were very informative and just the right amount as we like to do our own searching out as well. The manual that you provided gave us lots of hints for this and for restaurants. I think our favourite places were Granada and Ronda - just amazing but all were good choices. As we whisked through the countryside with the olive trees and vineyards, we were struck with the richness of the agriculture. We came home with a suitcase full of olive oil tins as gifts for family and friends. We hope to get back and investigate more of beautiful Spain.

We had a great time in Spain. I must congratulate you for your excellent choice of small boutique hotels not only for their variety and comfort but their location. Always easy walking distances from interesting sights. The Food scene in Spain surpasses our expectations and we are quite surprised how reasonable the food costs are especially when you consider their quality. In Andalusia we come to learn much of Spanish history and how it had impacted the World. The Art Museums in Barcelona and Spain are amongst the best we've seen and what about Gaudi; Spain's greatest Architect. The tours you selected were appropriate and guides are interesting and knowledgeable. Again thank you for arranging this trip for us. Tony

Thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful trip. Everything was great and we had an amazing time. We couldn't have had such a great time without your help and your excellent planning. Words fail me as I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you for planning our trip; it was the best trip my friend and I have ever had. Thanks again and I would definitely recommend you to anyone who wants to go to beautiful Andalucia.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Spain and your preparation of our itinerary was excellent in spite of the fact that we gave you such short notice. Our accommodations were excellent, your directions were all clear and our guides were wonderful.

I write to thank you for making our holiday to southern Spain and Barcelona such as enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived at our first hotel in Barcelona to us leaving our last hotel in Malaga all of the hotels, train transfers bookings and guided tours were exactly as you had described in the holiday itinerary you had prepared for us. The 4 hotels we stayed in at Barcelona, Granada, Seville & Malaga were excellent in terms of quality of rooms, staff, breakfast and location. The written guides, advice and maps included in the welcome pack you provided were of great value and all we really needed for the 7 nights we were there. We will certainly use Lemon Valley again for our intended tour of other areas of southern Spain which is now firmly on our "to do list" Thank you for making our holiday such a memorable one.

Carole Ludford Luxury Tour of Andalucía August 2011 UK

We have been fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout the world and Andalucia is 'up there with the best of the destinations'. Whether we visited cities, towns or white villages we loved them all as they had all been efficiently organized by Nicola. The scenery in the sierras was to die for and well worth driving through them. The little extras; the tours and shows were necessary and valuable to understand the destinations and culture of the area. The hotels were not only delightful but superbly located to appreciate the area; again due to Nicola's knowledge and her determination to please the discerning client. Driving in some of the villages can be described as an experience but with the detailed maps, sat nav and information provided it was made easier. We will be returning to Spain and Lemon Valley will be our first choice to travel with.

Roxana Anastasious Tour of Andalucia August 2011 UK

I am writing to let you know that we had the most wonderful holiday and wanted to thank you so much for organizing it for us. From the first journey we tool – by train from Malaga airport to Maria Zambrano station, to catch the bus to Granada – we knew we were in for a real treat. Your connections ran like clockwork and the hotels were simply stunning. The people of Andalucia were so friendly and helpful – we can vouch for by our experience on Playa de Retin when my husband nearly burned the clutch! Thank goodness that all came good and we ended up going to the beach with the family that helped us and that same afternoon, we were invited by another Spanish family and their friends to share their sardines and wine! Priceless! We had 3 cameras between us (!) and have come back with thousands of photographs as we just didn't want to forget a thing; the monuments, the scenery, the food, the hotels, the people, the events…..everything! I have attached a photograph not only so you can put a face to the names but also to show you how happy we were all the time! Nicola, I am so glad I came across your web site and I cannot thank you enough for all your planning – if anyone tells us they are thinking of visiting Andalucia, we will definitely recommend Lemon Valley Holidays.

Christine Johnston Chauffeur driven Luxury Andalucía & Madrid July 2011 Australia

I am so sorry I have not emailed you before now to thank you for all your work on my behalf to ensure that I had a wonderful experience of the glorious Andalucia region. Every aspect of my tour worked out well and I was very impressed by the accommodation, the private tour guides, the chauffeurs and the all-round good time that I had. And the guy who took us on the Tapas Tour in Madrid was delightful and entertaining – we had such a great night out on the town. My one regret is that I had to come home again – I so loved Spain and all it has to offer – what a vibrant and exciting place to be. I will certainly be recommending your services to anyone who is thinking of getting a "taste" of Spain. Once again thank you for making my special holiday even more special!

Nick Webber May 2011 Australia

We've just arrived home from our trip to Spain and we had a fantastic time. Everything ran so smoothly, we didn't have a single bad experience and the accommodation and entertainment that you had organised were just what we wanted. Thanks again for all your help, we will definitely recommend you to our friends.

Doreen Janzen Tour of Andalucia May 2011 Canada

Now that we are safely home and the dust has settled once again, I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know just how thrilled we were with our lemonvalley experience in Spain! Our package from you arrived at our hotel in Madrid without a glitch, and gave us exactly the encouragement and reassurance needed to bravely set out on our exploration of Andalusia indedpendently. All of the necessary information, tickets, planned activities, guides and maps were wonderfully organized and packaged. Information was clear, transportation was easy, and the accompanying guides so very useful! I had tried to learn a bit of Spanish before leaving from home, but found the small Spanish-English dictionary/phrase book included in the package absolutely invaluable. The 6 days spent in Cordoba, Granada and Sevilla were so well paced and so relaxing; all the stress that can come with planning and arranging was totally eliminated. We felt that we really experienced the "heartbeat" of Spain and all of its unique culture with your help. Our accommodations were well chosen for their ambience and could not have been more centrally located to all the areas of interest. We were probably most thrilled with the Hospederia de el Churrasco in Cordoba for its unique ambience, availability of services, and unequalled hospitality. Unbelievably charming! A highest recommendation for this most beautiful little hotel! Thank you, Nicola, for making our trip to southern Spain so wonderfully memorable! We will definitely pass on our enthusiasm for this trip and your service to anyone who might be interested in exploring Spain.

Sally & Jan Tour of Andalucia May 2011 UK

Well, Sally and I are back in the chilly UK and are already missing sunny Andalusia! We had a fantastic time and want to thank you so much for arranging such a fabulous trip for us. Everything went like clockwork – even our entry tickets to the Alhambra! The hotels were lovely and so well located in each city and the trains were wonderful so we had no problems at all – only too many fantastic places to see in only a week! We were left wanting more! It would be hard to pick out any particular highlights but in relation to what you arranged the flamenco in Seville was amazing – a wonderful evening - and the tour with Concepcion around Seville was really good. So good in fact that we immediately booked her afternoon tour around the Cathedral! The information you provided us with was excellent in every way – we really couldn't go wrong. It was as though you were with us! I will be recommending your company to anyone I know who is thinking of going to Spain and keeping an eye on your other current trips and any further developments you make.

Arlene Schwartz Tour of Andalucia June 2011 Australia

I am finally home after visiting family following our time in Andalucia. I cannot praise you enough for your outstanding organisation of our trip which was spot on in each place. The accommodation was very pleasing and people couldn't do enough to make us comfortable, esp in Seville and Cordoba. The tours were good. The guides, lovely. I would have liked some Jewish History content, but i was enthralled with the description of the Golden Age under the Moors for about 700 years. In fact I intend to buy the book. Tales of the Alhambra. I hope all is well with you and can assure you I will recommend you to others as Alison did to us.

Marjorie & Ronald Pinkerton Tour of Barcelona & Andalucia March 2011 Canada

What a wonderful holiday we have just spent in Barcelona and Andalusia largely thanks to your help. You responded immediately to our questions and requests on email resulting in a tailor made trip for the two of us. When we received your package on arrival in Barcelona with not only the practical materials for each location with train & bus tickets, maps of each city & instructions about each event you had planned but material that highlighted the cultural and historical aspects of each city – we were delighted with it. You little bound guide on our trip was a treasure. All the hotels were excellent, each different & charming & such wonderful locations.

Andy Northedge April 2010 – Tour of Andalucía, UK

A superb holiday against the odds, thanks to Lemon Valley's wonderful support. Volcanic ash doomed our flight out, so we jumped on a train: London – Paris – Barcelona – Madrid – Cordoba – with Nicola on call guiding us all the way. A night on the train, then a delightful unexpected one in Madrid, booked by Nicola – plus rearrangements of our other bookings, so that in the end we visited everywhere planned, having picked up our paperwork and car en-route. The flexibility, ingenuity and kindness of Lemon Valley turned a crisis into an adventure – leading on to the delights of beautifully situated, picturesque and friendly hotels, fascinating guided tours and the glorious landscape and culture of Andalucía. We couldn't have asked for more.

Peter Beaumont Self-drive tour of Andalucia February 2011 New Zealand

Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful holiday in Andalucia. We loved the country, people, hotels, food, history and of course the wine. We greatly appreciated your notes and visited many of the sites and bars you recommended. We will return to Spain again now that you have whetted our appetite.

Stephen Sands Self-drive Tour of Andalucia March 2011 UK

Thank you so much for all your help in organizing our trip to Andalucia, both before and during our holiday. Everything went incredibly well, and your ideas and organization were brilliant. I think what really shows your excellent organization, and caring attitude, was phoning ahead to Ronda and arranging an excellent upgraded room for us, following a slight mix up in Seville. I doubt very much if any other travel agent would have done that! The Hotel San Gabriel, the room and the staff were outstanding. Your recommendations for eating out were fabulous. We tried a number; all were really good and traditional.

Gill & Keith Morris Tour of Andalucia March 2011 UK

Now we're back home, we just wanted to let you know what a wonderful holiday we had in Andalucia. Everything went really well and your organization of our travel itinerary, individualized tours and hotel accommodation was first class. We couldn't have done it without you! All our tour guides were excellent – extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

David & Ann Fearey Paradors & Palacios of Andalucia April 2011 UK

Just a little note to say that everything that you organised went like clockwork and that we had a really splendid holiday. The guides were very informative and arrived spot on time as arranged. We left the Tom Tom in the envelope at the hotel in Seville as requested, ready for collection. The maps were a real godsend for us especially the detailed town maps as they allowed us to negotiate around all the one way streets. Driving in small Spanish towns was quite an adventure, and we enjoyed all the hotels, history and architecture. Should we decide to make another Spanish tour we would have no hesitation in contacting Lemon Valley Holidays again. Thank you once again for a trouble free 10 days.

Ian & Ann Guild - Train tour of Andalucía - May 2010 - Australia

I am writing this from our last hotel La Hospederia de Churrasco to say that we have loved every minute of our stay in Spain. The hotels are just what we wanted; small, comfortable and in the regional style, and each has been spotless with very helpful staff. Thank you for making all the arrangements for our stay and for the information which was waiting for us at our hotel in Granada. So far everything has gone beautifully according to plan, travelling by train has worked well and the little information booklet you made up for us has been invaluable and full of useful information. The guided tours in Granada and Seville were both excellent and provided a helpful insight into the history and culture of the cities. We could not have asked for more and will have no hesitation in recommending Lemon Valley Holidays to our friends – thank you for your help and efficiency.

Lindsay Rollo - Train tour of Andalucía - April 2010 - UK

Nicola – you should be walking around Malaga with wings and a halo! We have blessed our good fortune in having you as our travel agent so often that you must be sanctified by now. It was a wonderful holiday before the travel mess turned into a battle story that we will be telling our grand children, and I am telling everyone and anyone with even the slightest inclination to visit Andalucía to ―book with Nicola‖.
Thanks once again for saving our bacon with your prompt actions!!!
Lindsay and her sister’s flight was cancelled on the 1st day of the 5 day closure of UK airspace due to the volcanic ash cloud. We managed very quickly to arrange their travel back to the UK by train (before it was impossible to get seats etc.) and they arrived home back in England just the next day.

Audrey Holland Ph.D - Tran tour of Andalucía - April 2010 - USA

As I was the ringleader of this trip, I cannot tell you how fortunate I feel to have chosen Lemon Valley, and I will certainly recommend you to ANYBODY who might ask. Please fell free to use my name or to put people in touch with me. I am totally in awe of Lemon Valley and cannot thank you enough.

Dr Holger Herwig - Train tour of Andalucía - February 2010 - Canada

I want you to know that we love Lemon Valley! Every boutique hotel was a delight – well centered, brightly colored and with courteous staff. The city guides were informative and caring, willing to help in any way requested. All arrangements for trains and hotels were 100% perfect. We have NEVER had such a wonderful tour.

Mike McLeod - Tour of Andalucía and Extremadura - October 2009 - Canada

Hi Nicola, Its hard to believe it has been 2 weeks since we returned from Spain. I want to get this note off to you to let you know we have a wonderful time.
1. The Hotels – All the hotels were perfect. I was under the impression that you do not normally book hotels in Extremadura. Let me assure you that the hotels you picked in these cities were up to your excellent standard as evidence by your choices in Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
2. The Hotel Locations – Again, perfect. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. All the hotels were in interesting neighborhoods, close to the things we wanted to see. All also had restaurants and tapas bars very close by.
3. The Tours – You booked us on 3 tours:
The tapas tour in Madrid with James was a lot of fun and a good introduction
to Spanish eating and drinking (oh yes, and the history of Madrid). James did
an excellent job.
The Seville tour with Concepcion gave us a real feel for the city and its history. Again a lot of fun and we really appreciated Concepcion working for us on a holiday. The Granada tour with Rosa was also very good, but as the groups was much larger and divided into 2 (English and Spanish) it was harder for us.
4. The Trains – Trains in Spain are 2 levels above any trains we have in Ontario. Even the local train from Merida to Seville was great. The trains are so clean and fast.
5. Your printed book – This item really helped to get us started in each city.
6. Your maps – We used your maps everywhere, the maps in the hotels and at the tourist places just were not up to the standard of yours. I did get lost once or twice but I cant blame the map only the map reader.
Summary: We had a great time – Thanks!

Gail Barrington - Train Tour of Andalucía - October 2009 - USA

Hi Nicola, I can't thank you enough for the arrangements you made for me.... if I was there I would hug you! Everything was completely thorough and above my expectations. The hotels were lovely, paper work organized beautifully and the guides were fun. Whenever someone asked about the type of travel I was doing I recommended your services highly.

Hilary Day - Short break in Granada - October 2009 - UK

I had a lovely time in Granada! The hotel was perfect (and one of my memories of my room will be being woken up during the night by Flamenco musicians outside my window), the Alhambra spectacular, the Hammam baths unforgettable (walk in, float out) and the Flamenco tremendous...so thank you for all your help.

Andrew Freeman - Tailor-made tour of Andalucía - October 2009 - USA

What a holiday! We arrived back safely last night –and can’t begin to thank you for all you did to make our holiday so amazing.
The trip was spectacular – and we know it couldn’t have happened without your guidance and recommendations.
From the hotels to the tours and all the details in between—everything was just great. Thanks also for lending an extra hand in the lost luggage mishap.
We will surely recommend Lemon Valley –for all of our friends headed to Andalucía.
In the meantime – we also wanted to know what other areas you specialize in –for next year!
Thanks again for all –and while we don’t have plans to be back there soon –let us know if you make it out to San Francisco.

Jess Findlay - Train tour of Andalucía - September 2009 - UK

Just thought I’d let you know how much we enjoyed our holiday. All the arrangements you made for us worked our perfectly. We were very impresses by how easy it was to navigate the Spanish rail system and by the comfort and punctuality of the trains.
The information booklet you prepared for us was really helpful and we were soon referring to it as ―Nicola’s bible‖. We ate at a number of the restaurants suggested in it and enjoyed the food in all of them. The guided walks also really added to the holiday experience.
Thanks for creating such a stress-free holiday for us; we’ll be recommending you to our friends and I hope we’ll be returning to Andalucía ourselves before too long.

Tim & Judy Moungey - Imperial Cities & Atlas Mountains Morocco - July 2009 - USA

Thank you so much for all your help in arranging our tour of Morocco. It was an awesome experience.
Our driver/guide Ibraham was wonderful. He explained so much to us about Morocco and was very patient and kind to us. It was obvious that he loves his country and wanted to share his knowledge about his country with us. He made our trip into a tremendous one!
Again, thank you so much for organizing this tour for us. It was a vacation we will never forget!

Richard Stackhouse - Personal Tour - April 2009 - UK

This is to thank you very much again for all the care and attention you put into organising our recent holiday which I must say surpassed our wildest expectations! We knew we would love Andalucia and the superb weather helped, but we really appreciated all your wonderful extra touches.

The tours of Granada and Seville were excellent value. Conception was lovely! These should be compulsory as we were able to orient ourselves, locate the sights, and more importantly learn of the culture and history in a way that guide books don’t convey.
The Tapas Tour was fantastic fun; we had a great evening, felt at the end we really understood tapas, and tasted iced sherry, some excellent wines. Roger was an excellent source of local knowledge and equally happy to discuss politics and history. We learned a lot about the essence of Andalucia in an extremely pleasant manner.
The relaxing Turkish bath was perfectly timed. We had rather overdone the walking and seen two ruined baths – so we greatly enjoyed the massage in preparation for the next day’s sightseeing.
The Flamenco show was also very well chosen. Friends of ours (one of whom is a dancer) warned us of poor flamenco shows, and we were very well impressed with the quality of the show, the liveliness of the participants and the variety of the dancing. I only wish I understood more of the songs!
The hotels you chose were exactly the sort we like – central and comfortably quirky!

Mui Li Heung - Train Tour - June 2009 - UK

We would like to thank you for your choice of hotels in each of the destinations and also your consideration with regard to train times. Everything went along smoothly and the suite near the cathedral was great.
Thank you once again I would certainly recommend your organisation to others.

Daphne Passmore - Train Tour - June 2009 - Ireland

We had a wonderful time in Andalucía and everything went very smoothly, thanks to your organisational skills.
We were very pleased with your selection of hotels, especially the great locations.
The flamenco was fabulous and the Churrasqueria Brasileira was particularily good.
I may be repeating the experience next year and will be in touch, I hope!

Alison Evans - Personal Tour - April 2009 - Australia

Our travels in Andalucia were wonderful. We have the most marvellous travel tales and memories. Food, people, countryside and history made it all an inspiring holiday.
Your guidance in creating our trip as a combination of staying in small villages and also experiencing a self guided walking tour out from Grazelama made for perfect variation and interest.
It was only with your regional knowledge and experience that these perfect villages were selected, wonderful accommodation pre-booked and even which direction to travel.
The Ronda accommodation - San Gabriel was so beautiful and ideally located. We saw the Good Friday evening procession and we all thought seeing this in a smaller village was terrific - earlier we had considered Seville - l am glad we didn't
The Hotel Pennon at Grazelema we also enjoyed, mainly because the owner was wonderful - what hotel manager/owner stands outside to wave you off - a lovely lady!
Granada!!! And of course Hotel Isabel!!! Both were a fabulous surprise in every way. The staff/family at Hotel Isabel were friendly and very helpful - also perfect location.
The Pre-paid tickets to the Alhambra also worked well, and of course the Alhambra was everything we dreamed and more - of course wished we had an extra day to spend there
It has been enjoyable dealing with Lemon Valley Holidays right from the very first email I received. This is why I chose Lemon Valley as your emails were always personal, chatty and informal - sounded as though you really cared about our trip - and this is exactly how it seemed while we were on the road - everything was very personal; from the perfect car to suit our needs, the wonderful boutique accommodation which we had dreamed about down to the restaurant

Sue & Kevin - Train Tour - May 2009 - UK

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday in Granada, Seville and Cordoba.
Everything went really well, train tickets/bus tickets were excellent. The hotels were really nice especially ones in Seville and Granada, all your instructions worked well too
We really enjoyed the whole holiday and all your arrangements worked brilliantly, so thanks so much and carry on the great work. If we are in the area again will contact your company.

Helen Edwards Davis - Train Tour - May 2009 - Austalia

The trip around Andalucia was an absolute highlight: we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and were thrilled to be there during Holy Week and we particularly liked the hotels in Madrid.
It was great to have really central hotels with such character, and the Picasso museum in Malaga was amazing, thanks to an exceptional guide who really knew her stuff.
We absolutely love Spain, and I am sure we will be back!

Gillian Andrews - Train Tour - April 2009 - Canada

Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday.
Everything went very smoothly. We certainly enjoyed Andalucia; such fascinating history and so much to see and do. We even got to see a religious parade in Granada!

Sara Andrews - Personal Tour - April 2009 - USA

Everything was wonderful, and we had a fantastic time. It was so nice to have all the arrangements put together. It made the holiday much more stress free. The location of all the hotels couldn't be beat, and I loved the smaller, more intimate feel of all of them.

Mort Silverman - Tour of Madrid and Barcelona - April 2009 - USA

I just wanted to say thank you for putting together such a wonderful trip. Everything went smoothly and the tours were wonderful. My granddaughter loved the Tapas tour (so did my wife and I) and please be assure that we will recommend you to all our friends. We look forward to having you plan a trip to the south of Spain in the future.

Marie Goldberg - Personal Train Tour - March 2009 - Canada

Just a short note of thanks for the wonderful tour you put together for us. We love the hotels and the train trip through Andalucia.
Spain was just wonderful--the food, the sights, the people.
We truly appreciate what you did. We're talking about going to Paris and Northern Italy next year. Maybe we can make the arrangements through you or one of your colleagues.

Nikki Green - Personal Tour - March 2009 - USA

Thank you so very much for all of your help with the organization and planning of our trip!! You did an amazing job and my mom and I had the trip of a lifetime!

Lynne Marshal - Personal Tour - March 2009 - USA

I wanted to thank you for the great arrangements for our fantastic trip.
The hotel at Vejer de la Frontera was a place we could have spent many days hanging out on their patio and reading books. I’m thinking we may book a future trip there through you to simply relax, sleep and read!
We ended up going south from Granada and spent a lovely day driving along the coast; we went to the caves at Verjas, then the Balcon de Europa. We turned north at Marbella and drove to Ronda on the twisty road, enjoying the spectacular views. The next day, we drove south from Ronda, returning back to the sea and REALLY enjoyed the white villages and views capes we drove through.
We drove past Gibraltar and around past Cadiz to get to Vejer de la Fronterra. We REALLY enjoyed the views from high on the cape, looking at two oceans and two continents! I would definitely recommend those routes again.
The hotel in Madrid was great and the tour guide there (Julia) was fabulous!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed Spain and look forward to many future trips. I appreciate all your help with the planning and will definitely recommend your services to friends who may plan trips to Spain in the future.

Laurie Cowan - Personal Tour - March 2009 - USA

Our trip was wonderful! Our entire family is in love with Spain.
Thank you so very much for the assistance you provided. Everything worked out beautifully.
I really couldn’t have done it without you.

Heather Daniel - Tour of Andalucía - February 2009 - UK

Thank you for arranging a really marvellous holiday. ALL your plans worked out perfectly with smooth connections and easy directions, we had no difficulties or hassles. We loved having the strain taken away without feeling organised. (I know we were organised but it was a gentle touch!!)
We especially loved the location for our hotels which were excellent. They were bang in the heart of things with character and we did not waste time getting to the historic and beautiful sights.
The holiday was everything that I had hoped for and more. I will certainly hope to return - the Alhambra particularly stole my heart!

Dominic Monti - Tour of Andalucía - February 2009 - USA

Greeting from snowy New York! I just wanted to let you know that my friend and I returned to the US on Saturday after our delightful holiday in Andalucía. All the arrangements you made for us worked like a charm and there were no ―glitches‖ at all. It took away the worries and enabled us to enjoy our stay in this wonderful part of the world. I definitely want to return again if I am able to.
We especially enjoyed Concepcion – the tour guide in Seville. She was truly excellent.

Shelli Wessels - Personalized Tour of Andalucía and Morocco - February 2009 - USA

I would like to thank you for setting up a wonderful vacation for my friend and I. We had a wonderful time exploring Southern Spain and Morocco. It was an amazing experience.

Monica Davis - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - November 2008 - USA

We arrived home a week ago after having a wonderful holiday. This was partly due to the fantastic organization by you of the Spanish section!!
Thank you so much for the arrangements you made for us in all the parts of Spain that we visited. The Hotels, their situations, and the detail you provided for us was just fantastic. We could not have asked for anything better!!
We had a marvellous time, thank you!

Marilyn Lopes - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - October 2008 - USA

I returned home to Australia just a couple of weeks ago after a very relaxing holiday in both France and Italy and, thanks to you, a really exciting tour of Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
Everything went so well from first arriving in Seville and booking in at the hotel and finding the package as promised full of all our documentation and information.
The hotels you chose for us in each city were one better than the other; Santa Isabel la Real in Granada was a true jewel and the family all delightful and helpful. We sat over the record of the renovation with one of the family, Elena, and heard all the very interesting details and looked at many photographs. Congratulations Nicola on finding such a beautiful place.
We took up the booking in Cordoba for a Flamenco performance and were thrilled with its variety and vitality; the evening was very relaxed in a comfortable venue and the drink most appreciated. In Cordoba I also used the Moorish Baths and floated out afterwards and enjoyed the benefit for hours afterwards.
The walking tours in both Seville and Granada were very informative and the guides very professional, spoke excellent English, and both were very sympathetic.
Throughout we found the travel very user friendly and were completely astonished at the olive groves we saw from the train window which just seemed to go on forever up hills and across immense valleys. I had not been to the south of Spain and was truly fascinated by everything I saw and very attracted to the warmth of the people and really appreciative of the great service extended by those in tourist areas including restaurants. We immensely enjoyed the tapas and think we managed to try a good number of those offering.
Thanks so much again Nicola, I have spoken widely of your tour and how impressed we were with it and how it suited the way we wanted to move around. If I journey again to Spain I will be in touch.

Marie Miller Personalized - Tour of Andalucía - October 2008 - Australia

Just a note to say thank you for our trip. The organization and detailed notes and maps were exceptional and of course we get to keep them as memorabilia of our trip.
We loved all the little, very centralized boutique hotels and the personalized tours that you organized for us. The walking tours certainly gave us greater appreciation of the cities and James Fraser’s Adventurous Appetites Tapas Tour in Madrid gave us valuable insights into the tapas scene. We also took bike tours of Barcelona and Madrid which were a lot of fun and allowed us to range further afield.
We loved the fast trains and would recommend them to anyone travelling through Spain or other parts of Europe that are fortunate to have them. Although the cost is probably not a lot cheaper than flying, money is saved by not having to get a taxi to and from the airport and considerable time is saved by not having to book in as early as flights require, plus the trains terminate fairly close to city centres.
Lastly, a special thank you for looking after my sister Angela, allowing us to share valuable time together.

Greg White - Tour of Andalucía - June 2008 - Australia

Hi Nicola & Danielle, Thank you both for organising such a wonderful holiday in beautiful Andalucía! From the outset you were very helpful, but when we received the detailed package we realised how completely you'd arranged everything, and we were at no stage disappointed. The hotels were gorgeous; the walking tours just right, informative but not too long; and the transport arrangements, maps and other information 'spot-on'. We have kept the pack as a memento of a wonderful experience and a most professional organisation which we have already been recommending to others. Kind regards, Greg & Allyson.

Alan, Virginia, John & Penny - Tour of Royal Madrid and Castile - May 2008 - UK

We have safely returned home after another excellent trip.
Thank you so much Nicola, once again, for your excellent organisation and for the detailed information you provided. We certainly enjoyed the different cities, despite rather unreliable weather! Luckily, we had taken umbrellas and waterproof jackets as well as sunhats!!
Once again, many thanks for an excellent holiday.

Alfred Nilsen-Nygaard - Train tour of Andalucia - May 2008 - Norway

I am very pleased with your planning of the trip. Everything went smoothly, trains, hotel, guides, and will recommend you and Lemon Valley holidays to those of my friends planning to visit the beautiful and cultural very valuable Andalusia.

Sylvia Worral - Train Tour of Andalucia - April 2008 - USA

We were very pleased with all the arrangements you made. We liked the hotels where we found staff to be friendly and helpful…We are serious readers of good guidebooks before we visit any country, but we still found your suggestions helpful and your arrangements very efficient with regards to tours, museums, etc.
The walking guides were excellent and we did buy and additional tour of cathedral from our Seville guide. We even tried out various bars and restaurant that you mentioned.
The Spanish trains are marvellous…so efficient, modern and security protected. This was a very pleasant surprise for us as we are “train aficionados” (train lovers). We have travelled extensively by train in USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and are always on the lookout for great train trips…
Again thank you for all your help and I hope you get business from some of our friends.

Paul Doucet - Self-drive Tour of Moorish Andalucia - April 2008 - USA

Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you providing us with a great Tour of Andalucía.
The self drive part worked out great with the GPS. Getting to the hotels in the centre of town was a bit of a challenge but certainly added to our memories. Being able to walk about to everything was terrific. We were pleased with all of the accommodations as well. Thanks again!

Robin Thompson - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - April 2008 - UK

I arranged a tour of Seville, Cordoba and Granada with Lemon Valley Holidays. At last minute before I left, an old knee problem flared up and I could not go. Nicola Wright went to the trouble of getting everything rescheduled for ten days later when I could travel. Everything was arranged professionally and carefully.
I would recommend the Lemon Valley formula to anyone: with it, you have the freedom to do things at your own pace, with some guided walking tours in key locations. You look forward to your next hotel because you know it is going to be full of character, and in a good location.

Wayne Giles - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - March 2008 - USA

Thanks very much for arranging out trip last month. The hotel choices were wonderful and the staff at each went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Everything flowed as planned from town to town and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed the journey. Thanks again.

Sandra Ray - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - March 2008 - Australia

I wanted to take a moment to let you know the trip was wonderful! Everything worked! And we can’t begin to thank you enough. .. And couldn’t wait to tell you how very pleased we were with you and the trip you planned for us. Thank you!

David Forsberg - Train Tour of Moorish Andalucía - March 2008 - USA

We just returned from our trip to Spain and want you to know what a great time we had. Your itinerary worked out beautifully. We were able to see so many wonderful things.
I’m not sure I could tell you the best of the trip because it was a new, incredible experience each day. We found the train and bus transportation a great way to see the countryside and your schedules made it possible for us to do so in a leisure fashion without having to rise early to meet a train or a bus.
I specially want to thank you for the information given on Semana Santa procession. We viewed several and found them to be beautiful and interesting. We delighted in being with the crowds and seeing the Spanish people celebrate the season.
You are tops on our list and when we come to Spain again, we will know who to contact.

Elizabeth Hallam Smith - Short break in Granada - February 2008 - UK

We had a great time in Granada! The Hotel was excellent and the arrangements for the city tour and the arrangements for the city tour and visit to the Alhambra went like clockwork.
The new system for collecting tickets worked well. Your notes were helpful and informative and helped us to get the best from our visit. We loved Granada and that part of Spain-and did not want to come back! Wasn’t the weather good too!
Thanks for your most professional help and advice which greatly contributed to the success of our break.

Florence de Silva - Christmas in Andalucía - December 2007 - Malaysia

Just a short note to thank you for having planned a lovely trip for us. We had a lovely holiday and the information provided was very helpful and made our holiday a successful one.
The hotels were great and our stay at Santa Isabel will not be forgotten for a long time, the owners and their hospitality not forgetting their great rooms will be remembered.
Once again THANK YOU. Have a Great 2008. God Bless

Lyn Martin - Andalucía & Morocco - November 2007 - UK

Finally home safely in Darwin and just want to take this opportunity of thanking you for arranging a wonderful holiday. We were both amazed at the contrasts in Morocco and were very pleased with all that was arranged on our behalf.
The accommodation was good and our guide was absolutely wonderful. Andalucia was all and more than we expected. What a wonderful part of Spain and our time was too short. The train trips all went like clockwork and the trains are clean and well run.
Thank you again and I will not hesitate to recommend you.

Graeme Morgan - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - November 2007 - UK

Just to let you know that I am now back home after a very enjoyable & interesting holiday. You are to be congratulated on a very well organised itinerary - everything went like clockwork (even the Trains ran on time!).
The Hotels were very good - very homely - very individual. The Guided Walks were a "must" & very informative.
I would recommend Lemon Valley Holidays to all!

Anthea Fortescue - Train tour of Andalucía - November 2007 - UK

We have been home for 3 days and the memories of the week you arranged for us are vivid and marvellous, so many treasures to explore, double the time would have been nice! All the arrangements worked very well, the hotels all welcoming and beautifully situated to make the most of our time.

Ian Hill Train - Tour of Moorish Andalucía - September 2007 - UK

Wow. What a holiday! It was excellent and you had organized it so well. The trains were so clean, quiet and one time. The hotels were all excellent. The cathedrals, mosques and buildings were out of this world. We were worn out when we got home.
Thank you so much for your attention to detail – it made the holiday.

Marianne Butler - Tour of Classic Andalucia - September 2007 - UK

Just a brief note to say an enormous thank you for your wonderful help with our holiday. We were particularly impressed with the choice of hotels – they were all utterly charming, friendly, clean and had the magical ingredient of being quiet yet central. We certainly would never have found four such delightful places to stay left to our own devices!
Your comprehensive notes on each place we were visiting were so much better than any guide book could offer and your skilled organisation regarding travel and accommodation just left us with the serious business of enjoying ourselves to get on with – which we certainly did.
We can happily recommend Lemon Valley Holidays to anyone travelling to the area.

Charlotte Seymour - Tour of Andalucía - April 2007 - UK

Having arrived back in London again, both Robert and I want to thank you for having organized such a lovely holiday. Everything was so well organized and worked like clockwork.
The hotel in Granada was like a dream, the one in Seville so central, Cordoba also full of character and Malaga fantastically comfortable, central and had a view out to the sea and the cathedral. The flamenco concert and the meal in Cordoba were excellent. An extra special memorable event was witnessing some of the Semana Santa celebrations in Malaga.
All in all, you provided us with a wonderful experience and we will be recommending you to all our friends. Our holiday is still glowing as a shining star for both of us thanks to your efforts.

Neil Holloway - Personalized Tour of Andalucía - March 2007 - UK

We had a fantastic holiday! Thanks very much for your great organizing. Fabulous hotels, great places to visit, excellent – no magnificent – food. We adored the Alhambra (but doesn’t everyone) and we revelled in churches, mosques, thousands of olive trees, narrow streets, bright blue skies, great vistas and trees laden with oranges.
We were all very impressed with your guide pack and your advice and recommendations came in very helpful. This certainly was a trip we couldn’t have undertaken without you!

David McCandless - Granada City Break - February 2007 - UK

Just a quick line to say that we had a fantastic time in Granada. The Hotel was wonderful
and in a very central yet quite area.
I would recommend to all my friends to book through Lemon Valley Holiday's and will book again soon in the future.

What can I (and my friend Yvonne) say except a great big THANK YOU for everything you have done to make a dream holiday come true. Everything was so well organised and so well thought out that everything went without a hitch.
The bus time, the train times, the wonderful hotels which we would never have experienced without your knowledge, the guided tours, and even the weather was perfect apart from one morning in Seville when there was a heavy downpour.
We met some lovely characters (especially in a Seville market!!) and found the Spanish people friendly and helpful. I was glad though I had taken the trouble to learn a few phrases of Spanish which did help.
We especially liked the hotel in Granada (Casa del Capitel Nazari) because of its age and history and also a lovely breakfast. We tried the traditional Spanish food and enjoyed it.
The Alhambra was amazing and we spent six hours there looking round and trying to take it all in. Thank you for booking those tickets also.
We both loved Seville and there are some super shops there. The Cathedral at Cordoba was another amazing place and in all the lovely places we visited we had the time to spend and take things in - something it is difficult to do on a package holiday.
I also enjoyed looking out at the Spanish countryside on our train journeys. We have thoroughly enjoyed it and have gained more confidence in ourselves for travelling places.
It is a holiday which will remain in our memories as an outstandingly good one.

Jada Fargion - Tour of Andalucia - November 2006 - Italy

My niece and I really enjoyed the tour that you arranged for us. Granada in particular left a strong and pleasant impression on both of us. The guides on all excursions were very kind and professional, so where the staffs at the hotels.
We appreciated the excellent choice of the lovely “Casa de los Migueletes” in Granada. The hotel is beautiful and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Also the Cordoba Hotel Conquistador is good and we enjoyed our stay there.
I wish to thank you for having so nicely organized my short break and apologise for the inconvenience caused by the sudden change of dates. No doubt, I will contact you again, should the opportunity arise for another tour in Spain.

Augusta Lazzati - Tour of Andalucia - October 2006 - Italy

Dear Nicola
Let me thank you very very much for your excellent assistance.
I am sure of two things:
1. You are in love with Spain,
2. You are in love with your job!
Congratulations your "package" was extremely well done and exhaustive, I have never felt so well looked after by a guide, although an invisible guide.
I would like to talk to you much more to tell you how much my sister and I enjoyed Andalucia, but what I really want to tell you this time is that again I thank you very much. I did not want to leave too much time before you receive our news.

Lynne & Greg Kostin - Tour of Andalucia - October 2006 - UK

Just to let you know we had a great time. I must congratulate you on your choice of hotels in particular the hotels in Granada, Seville & Ronda were excellent and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
The hotel in Ronda had the most spectacular view from our bedroom. We arrived, at little travel worn at about 2pm and had a simply delicious lunch on the terrace overlooking the gorge and our spirits soared with the birds flying below us!
Many thanks for arranging a magical holiday; we will certainly recommend Lemon Valley to our friends.

Ian Donald - Walking in Las Alpujarras - September 2006 - UK

Only positive feedback from two happy people. Right from the start I have been impressed by the thought and personal attention you gave to our requirements. You are a hard act to follow and we will certainly be recommending you to our friends and acquaintances who would appreciate such excellent service. We ourselves have had an unforgettable holiday and fully intend repeating the experience.
Our thanks again and our best wishes for your future (assured!! ) success.

Back from holiday and back to work I'm afraid, we had a fantastic holiday and really enjoyed Andalucia, we had great weather and enjoyed the cities and history very much, the hotels in Granada, Seville and Vejer were fantastic.
We had a great holiday and would recommend your services to others should they want to travel in Spain.
