There is an age old saying that Lisbon shows off, whilst Porto works and Coimbra studies. This is still true to a point but there is so much more in between. From the cobbled streets of Lisbon with the rambling yellow trams, to the endless swathes of terraced vineyards sweeping down to the river Douro. The medieval castles and rural villages of Alentejo to the dramatic cliffs and sleepy coves of The Algarve. Portugal has something for everyone and never ceases to delight. On top of the breath-taking scenery, fascinating culture and historical cities there is a deeply mature food scene that without much fuss or intention has brought visitors to Portugal from all over the world. The key is in the quality of the local ingredients & recipes handed down over generations; simple, wholesome food fresh from the sea and the sun baked plains.

Jeannette Seaman - UK - Tour of Andalucia - March 2016
Dear Danielle, We wanted to thank you all at Lemon Valley for a great trip. Most of our holidays over recent years have been specialist, group bird watching holidays where its a case of pretty much "follow the leader" and the degree of organisation which you had set up almost made this just as easy. We found that all the arrangements - travel, hotels, booked activities went like clockwork. We were very smug standing in line for the Nasrid Palace at the Alhambra at our correct time watching others arrive and try to barge in with no idea that their ticket allocated them a specific time to go in. We were very impressed with all the bus and train travel - it was efficient, clean and on time. It was great to experience the high speed train (300 kph was our fastest time) and the buses which wandered into small villages collecting locals from their lunch time tipple (and waiting while one went back for the brolly he'd forgotten). All of the hotels were lovely. We were also very happy with and impressed that you'd got us front row seats at the Jerez equestrian show - brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were very impressed with how it all came together. All in all it was a wonderful holiday. Will be recommending you to anyone interested. Thanks again. Jeanette
